Seventy works from The UBS Art Collection, one of the finest corporate collections of modern and contemporary art in the world, are currently on view at the Fondation Beyeler. The selection includes paintings and drawings, sculptures and photographic works. These provide an overview of developments in art during the past fifty years, tendencies perhaps best summed up under the general term “postmodernism.” Roy Lichtenstein’s painting, aptly titled Post Visual, with its allusions to great artists of the past such as Piet Mondrian, is a good example.
