Andy Goldsworthy Going beyond painting, Wolfgang Laib condenses pollen he has collected into intensely brilliant squares on the floor. Here the flower is not a motif but the essence of a work of art located somewhere between nature and intellectual abstraction. Unlike Laib, Andy Goldsworthy creates outdoor works comprised of natural materials which, exposed to the forces of nature, vanish again after a short time. They are documented in the form of photographs that have the character of works.
