Installation
Monet's concept of landscape and nature is taken up again by Olafur Eliasson,
a young contemporary artists who in the 1990s started probing the boundaries between
science, art and perception,. Inspired by the architecture of the Fondation Beyeler,
which interacts with its natural surroundings in a very special way, Eliasson
has installed a kaleidoscope-like tunnel in the Monet Room. Water, light, reflection
and perception are the central themes of his installation.
